Use case
In some situations, you have to put a balloon on a field which is partially hidden by another field.
If you put a guidance balloon on that partially hidden field, the user experience is not what you want it to be.
WalkMe doesn't provide a built-in solution for horizontal scrolling issues.
But there is a workaround to make users aware that they have to scroll before going to the next step.
Solution
The workaround is to show a guidance balloon on the scroll bar.
- Create a tiny, invisible launcher on the section directly above the scroll bar.
- Copy the ID of that launcher for further use.
- In your guidance flow, add a guidance balloon (with a NEXT trigger) which points to the Tiny Launcher as a step immediately before the balloon on the hidden field.
- The result will be a balloon on the scroll bar telling your users to scroll right and press Next.
